A power struggle has ensued after the sudden death of the last Emperor. Do you have what it takes to fill the vacuum left by the influential leader? In Galactic Emperor, players are Planetary Dukes that are vying for this mighty position. Each player controls a sector of space and, for a time, will actually share the galactic throne. This of course will not stand. To make matters worse, time is of the essence as the central Omega Sun is starting to collapse accelerating the chaos. Galactic Emperor plays over several rounds with players choosing roles within each round to determine what happens next. There are seven different types of roles: Explorer, Merchant, Steward, Engineer, Warlord, Regent, and Scientist. Players all get a turn to act during each role. A limited pool of Victory Points are available and can be earned by players as they discover planets, build ships, gain resources, and through battle. When a player has established his entire empire, or when the last Victory Point is claimed, the game is over and the Planetary Duke with the most points wins the game!
