The goblin screamed as it struggled against its bonds. Rough hemp ropes held its limbs fast against the altar as the shaman lifted the ceremonial knife. Other orcs chanted in an ancient, eldritch language, praise to a god with no mercy, hopeful the life sacrifice would appease the Spirit of Conquest. The Orc General smiled as he heard the thunk of the knife into the yielding flesh and turned his attention back to the assault. Already he could see the mist forming, indicating an affirmative answer to the fervent prayers of his shamanistic priests. The General peered down at the stronghold full of desperate humans, clinging to their useless defenses. He could hear the thud of the boulder from the hilltop as it slammed into the fortress courtyard, followed by the sound of smashing timbers and screams. He signaled the goblins, who were getting worked up into battle frenzy, and the gibbering horde rushed forward, screaming and waving their knives and grapples... STRONGHOLD is a board game of a heroic siege. Play as the Invader and use the whole orcish arsenal to wipe out the human forces. Take the role of the Defender deflecting the opponents actions and leading mankinds last hope to victory. The game offers either a face to face duel or an engaging team mode for 3 or 4 players! The stakes are not only for the fate of the stronghold. The stakes are for everlasting Glory: a spot in the chronicles of human history or the sagas of the wild tribes.
