When one of the twins discovers their great uncle's Fantastical Field Guide to Faires, which is coveted by a ten-foot shaping-shifting ogre, the action in this clever compendium of fairy and goblin folklore really heats up. University's Spiderwick Chronicles Board Game, which is subtitled "The Fantastical Field Guide Mystery Game" replicates the action of the movie as goblins chase the children who have to discover the Field Guide and race to Uncle Spiderwick before the goblins can capture them. The deluxe game features a 3-D Spiderwick Estate as well as molded plastic goblins.
