For preorders or backorders, there is no problem cancelling before the order ships. Where there is a pricing difference which is the basis of the cancellation, we will offer, a credit that can be applied against a future purchase. For refunds to a credit card or to Checkout by Amazon (more than 60 days after the order), there may be a deduction of $5 to cover processing charges.
UNABLE TO CHANGE OR CANCEL AFTER IN-STOCK ORDER IS PLACED
Due to our automated order processing system that is in place with Fulfillment by Amazon, we are not able to make changes to an in-stock order after it is placed. We are able make changes only for an order on backorder or preorder. Immediately after the order is placed, it is sent electronically to Fulfillment by Amazon where the processing begins. Once the order is posted, it is no longer possible to cancel or make changes.
Unfortunately once an in-stock order is placed, we are not able to update the order in any way. It is already being processed by our fulfillment service. It is much better to ensure that the address is correct as soon as the order notification is received and request changes immediately to avoid the additional charge and the potential delay in the package arrival. Orders on backorder can be updated.
Due to our automated order processing services through Amazon, we are no longer able to cancel your order after it is placed. It will be shipped. The best option when you really do not want to recieve the product is to refuse shipment. When you do that, please also let us know so that we can watch for your shipment. The way you need to do that is similar to a return using the RMA page after you sign in to your account and select your existing order.There is the option to refuse shipment when the package is delivered, but note that shipping charges related to both the shipment to the destination and return shipping back to the warehouse will be deducted from the refund. In the case of an order with a Free Shipping discount applied, the actual cost of shipping will be deducted.
CHRISTMAS SEASON ORDERS
Our busiest time is expected to be during the first 3 weeks of December with that last week being the very busiest. During that time, there may be a delay of an additional day or two before your order ships. Shipping notices are sent out automatically with the information also available online when you sign on to your account. Though, at times due to systems glitches, even those notices can be delayed. If you have not received your shipping notice within 2 business days after it was ready to ship, please contact us. We will either resend it to you or advise of any backorder items holding up the order.
Be aware that UPS, Fedex, the US Postal Service, and other carriers will also have significant volumes during that same time and during the week before Christmas, it is not unusal that there be an additional 3 to 5 business day delay in delivery before Christmas and even as long as 2 weeks for orders shipping after Christmas. To be sure your order arrives before Christmas, your order should be placed at least 2 weeks before Christmas.
We have Expedited (2-3 Day), Priority (Next Day) services at additional charge for orders. These orders get priority and in-stock orders placed before will usually ship out the same day. One week before Christmas, these are the only services that are likely to be delivered in time for Christmas. If you order less than 2 weeks before Christmas, be prepared for the possibility that the order is delivered after Christmas. Everyone works very hard to get packages to the destination on time, but volumes have a significant impact.
Ground shipping time varies with the destination. Most shipments to the West Coast normally take 4 to 5 days. Most shipments to the Southern states and the East Cost normally take 3 to 5 days. Please be aware that it can take a few days longer especially for rural shipments and those to more remote locations. It is not unusual for Christmas time Ground shipments to be delayed by up to 2 weeks. The backlog continues into the last week of December and early January.
For last minute orders (within 1 week of Christmas), be aware that only Expedited and Priority shipments will be delivered on Dec 24. Standard shipments will not be delivered until the next business Day (after Christmas). No deliveries will occur on Christmas Day. With that in mind, to ensure delivery in time for Christmas, please you select a delivery method that will have the delivery occur on or before Dec 23. Also keep in mind that weekends are not shipping days, so an order placed near the end of the week will not be progressed during the weekend - only on business days.
To deliver in time for Christmas:
Standard – orders placed before December 9 Expedited – orders place before Dececember 20 (Delivered as late as Dec 23) Priority – orders placed before December 21 (Delivered as late as Dec 23)
* It may be possible for a shipment to be delivered on December 24th, 25th, or 26th, but that will depend on the shipping company and the delivery driver. Please DO NOT COUNT on delivery during weekends or holidays.
We will continue ship out orders that will not be expected to arrive before Christmas. Shipments which are refused will be refunded for the product price less a 15% restock fee ($10 minimum) along with return shipping costs, where applicable.
To mitigate the impacts of credit card fraud, we reserve the right to require telephone contact information for both the billing addressee and the shipping addressee which is available during our normal business hours of 9AM EST and 4PM EST. Where the billing and the shipping addresses are different, we may also be contacting both addressees to confirm the order for most orders that are placed internationally and for all orders over $100. In most cases where an order is placed to be sent to someone a different shipping address than the billing address, we will be contacting the billing addressee at their billing phone number. We may also choose to contact the bank/credit card company to confirm that the order was legitimate and placed by the owner of the credit card. The order will not be processed until this is completed. If we are not able to contact that person within 48 hours after the order has been placed, we may choose to cancel the order and refund the credit card charge and will advise the billing addressee that we have done so. We will also record the information to support any credit card fraud investigation which will be made available to the law enforcement agencies. We hope you understand and accept the additional steps we are taking to protect your credit.
